DREAMING TAJ MAHAL
51.14 minutes, dv-cam, 2010
SYNOPSIS:
Haidar, a taxi driver, dreams of visiting India to see the Taj Mahal. The only problem is that he lives in Pakistan! Why is Haidar's dream so impossible to achieve? Is it six decades of suspicion and hostility between the two nuclear powers that make the Indian government see him as a potential spy or a terrorist? Is it because he is Muslim? Or because he is a common man who has no strings to pull? To see how Haidar's dream can be given a voice, and what it means for all of us, I travel from India to Pakistan.
